Achieving Goals

Complaining about anything, holds you in the place of refusing to receive the things you've been asking for. Justifying about anything holds you in the place of refusing to let in the very things that you've been asking for. Blaming someone, holds you in the place of refusing to let in the things that you've been asking for. Feeling guilty, feeling angry, it doesn't matter what you call it, it is a refusal, not a conscious one. You're asking; you can't help but ask. The Universe is yielding; it must yield. It's a big question, folks: why aren't you letting it in?

--- Abraham

Excerpted from the workshop in Los Angeles, CA on Saturday, March 10th, 2001 #306

The preceding quote from Abraham states clearly how we hold ourselves back from achieving those things that we seek. My wish for all of us is that we each find our way through whatever blocks us from moving forward. Happy New Year to all. May love prevail…..

  1. Wonderfully thought provoking post for the start of a new year. I know I'm resistant to a few things. The challenge is identifying them and then letting go. It's amazing what shows up when I do that.

    May love prevail....AMEN.

Much love to you at the beginning of this New Year, Diantha!

  2. This couldn't have come at a better time for me. Yes, I do block the things I could be receiving. I've been looking to others for my happiness, when I found out this holiday season that I only needed to look within:)

  3. Thanks, Carolynn! To reassure you, I am also resistant! It's what makes us human I think! Aren't we funny~!

Mermaid, sounds as if your holiday season brought you an amazing gift of discovery! Wonderful news!

So glad you both are in my life!

  6. Wow. Brilliant quote! Made me stop to think about which of these behaviors I have conquered and which I still have work left to do.
Ironically, my New Year's resolution is simply "positivity". To keep a positive attitude, to send positivity out into the universe, to have a positive year, to surround myself with positive people.
So far, so good! Would certainly fit in with opening myself up to all the universe is offering ;)
A happy positive new year to you Diantha!

  9. It is the law of the universe to co create and thus it is us who are indeed the obstacle. And unlearning to be the barrier takes time and constant awareness and perseverence and constant reminders.
    Thanks Diantha.

  10. You surely spoke to this One Woman this day.
    I needed to hear this.
I would think that at this stage of life that I would have learned this.
    Thank you for reminding me.

  11. One Woman, we all need reminding now and again, no matter how wise we are, and I know you to be wise. I'm glad I could be a channel for your remembering. xo
