Divine Dominos

I've been reading a wonderful book for all you animal lovers out there: The Language of Miracles by Amelia Kinkade. She is a writer who can impart profound knowledge about communicating with animals in a very interesting and often funny way!

Anyway, I came upon this passage and I thought it juicy enough to quote. Enjoy!

"Still, Dr. (Edgar) Mitchell's argument is thought provoking: When humans and animals get caught up in the karma and energy of each other's fields, they form what is called a 'quantum entanglement'. A term of similar meaning in psychology is 'family constellation'. I like this image: you have your own personal solar system, meaning that you, your human loved ones, and your animals revolve around each other and affect each other with thoughts and actions. There's a certain sense of gravity and magnetism that holds your behavioral patterns in place. When one person or animal in the system heals or changes his behavior, it alters the dynamics of the entire constellation. (italics mine) That's why the idea of healing yourself is so important. If your spiritual and emotional growth can impact everyone on your pathway, eventually we can heal the world, one by one, by initiating a cascading catalyst like divine dominos tumbling all over the world. 'Love, love, love, love, love...' Wouldn't that be nice?" page 84

Imagine if in our quest to heal ourselves we could spread this healing to our loved ones, and out even further. I know this to be true because I've experienced it. So hang in there with your own path of healing. It makes a difference not only to you, but to all of us around you!

  1. I love this post, Diantha! And I've experienced this in my own family. Two of us (my sister and I) decided to change and find healing and with that the whole large family healed. Now, where there was chaos, there is peace and love. It really is almost magical... Thanks for sharing this! Love, Silke

  2. And being in the presence of a beloved pet brings its own sense of healing, of peace, of calm. There is definitely a dynamic going on to elicit that essence.

  3. Joanne, isn't there though! I find pets to be little healers, all of them. Someone once told me that cats can actually lower one's blood pressure... I tend to believe that! Thank you, Joanne, for your lovely comment.

  6. Magnificent post! Healing, like positive energy, is so contagious! I love how animals seemingly bounce back from surgeries too - like there is no "worry" involved, they don't know, understand or care about the details of it - they just get on with healing and living. It's a lesson we all could learn from them, isn't it?

  8. I couldn't imagine a life without animals. There is a dimension or level with them you cannot seem to experience with another human. I got my little yorkie-poo purposely to occupy my mind and keep me amused 4 yrs ago when my son shipped out to Afghanistan. The puppy made me laugh - kept me constantly busy and amused. It was the greatest therapy gift I could have given myself. To this day, we are the best of buddies, doing the treadmill together and everything.

    Wonderful post!

Carolynn, I love how you synthesize this post! Love it! And love the warm fuzzies wherever they come from!

  10. suZen, you are so wise to have found a dog to keep you company and keep your mind off things. Indeed, I do think that the level of communication we have with our beloved pets is something we can achieve no where else. Thanks for pointing that out!

  11. Such wise words. Animals and their humans do feed off each other emotionally. Animals are natural healers and we can learn a lot from them. Healing radiates in us, though us and with us. There is healing of many with the healing of one. Your hurt is healed, my concern is also healed and I change, the change in me heals another that has been affected by my mood, pain etc.. and their healing affects someone else's and on it goes..... May you find Healing today and may it bring you Peace. May one small change bring changes to those around, may we spread the seeds of Healing Love today. Love and Light, Nina P
